The KC Live! Power & Lights Entertainment District was the result of a private-public partnership between The Cordish Companies and The City Of Kansas City, Missouri. Project Control served as Owner’s Representative for the City of Kansas City. As Owner’s Representative, the team managed the budget and the City’s contribution to the project.
The project included the development of an eight-block, 500,000 s.f. entertainment center in downtown Kansas City that links together the Kansas City Convention Center to the west and the new Sprint Center Arena to the east.
Phase 1 included approximately 425,000 s.f. of retail/entertainment space. Upon completion of the second phase, the district will also contain 1,500 residential units and approximately one million square feet of office space.
